Before she discovered rent-to-own, Melissa Clearwater’s home was sparse. “It was four walls and a ceiling,” she said. “During the process of my divorce, everything had to be split down the middle. A lot of stuff I just walked away from.”
For people like Clearwater, using rent-to-own was the best option. “Going into the store for the very first time, I saw what I wanted for every room that it needed to go into,” she said. “I had not just one option, but several. So it was easier to make it my own.”
After beginning the rent-to-own process, Clearwater finally started to feel like she had a safe place to come home to. “A place to sit, a place to lay,” she said. “It’s very easy for me to walk in and say, ‘This is my home.’”
